CONGRATULATIONS - YOU'VE DONE IT AGAIN!!!

Photo From Bike Run 2004By taking part in this year's Bike Run on the 20th of June, you have helped raise an incredible €24,100 for the New Ross Chernobyl Children's Project, bringing the total raised to date to €118,875.

This money will be used to meet the requirements of this year's project but as a result of your great generosity, we have more money than the New Ross Chernobyl Children's Project need at this time.

Over the past number of years, the local group in New Ross have donated three ambulances for use by orphanages in Belarus. These ambulances are in daily use and require constant repair and maintenance. At a recent meeting of the Bike Run Committee it was decided to give €10,000 to maintain and service these ambulances. The remainder of the money will be given to the New Ross Chernobyl Children's Project to help fund next year's programme.

As a result of many requests from you to do something for a home based children's charity, it was also decided that next year's bike run will solely be for Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. This is a very worthy cause and we will be hoping to raise more money than ever. Further details will be available later in the year.

Check out our website www.bikerun.ie for details of this year's Bike Run. Did you see yourself in the photos?

Thank you once again and safe riding.

Yours in Biking,
Willie Harte.
